To celebrate 13 years in business, we’re looking back at the last 12 months.
Back in 2019, we welcomed Freya Lovedale to our team as a business administration, apprentice who said if she had an autobiography it would be called ‘Oh Fudge…’ – a phrase frequently heard when something goes wrong!
More recently we welcomed our new digital PR manager Matt Fraser. He has five years’ industry experience and a public relations degree under his belt, and joined to boost the agency’s digital offering.
We also welcomed back two familiar faces as Kirsty and Nicole returned to work following maternity leave.
Our agency was shortlisted for three industry awards – for ‘Automotive & Transport Marketing Communications Campaign’ and ‘Community Engagement Campaign’ in the PR Moment Awards and for ‘Outstanding Small Public Relations Consultancy’ in the CIPR PRide Awards.
As well as delivering successful campaigns for our existing clients, we welcomed 10 new ones in the last 12 months; Oriental Direct, Stada Corp US, Off The Grain, Sniffers Pet Care, Buffalo, My Management Accountant, HG property, Tom Maxwell, Red Diamond Executive Headhunters and Stafflex.
We experienced a few challenges along the way too. Our office was flooded towards the start of 2020 which meant we all had to work remotely will the damage was being repaired. Not long after returning, we faced the same uncertainty as every other business did when the coronavirus pandemic hit. Despite these knockbacks, we pulled together and kept going!
While in lockdown, we took part in the 2.6 Challenge to raise funds for the Nick Smith Foundation (#ForSmudger) and beat our target to raise £537. The charity foundation raises money for research into Motor Neurone Disease, for young children who suffer bereavement with the death of a parent and for the development of rugby league.
13 might be unlucky for some, but despite our office flooding and a global pandemic, our 13th has been a good one overall!
